Welcome to 2020 at the Lewiston Sportsmen’s Club. I would like to thank Tony Weilandt for serving as Club President last year and thank Trevor Rislow for serving on the Board of Directors for the last 9 years.

Hopefully you will enjoy many of the activities we have planned for the club this year. The Club will be holding Sporting Clays, 3-D Archery Shoots, Firearms Safety Classes, Wednesday night open Trap Shooting, Kids in the Outdoors, and hosting the Lewiston High School Trap Team.

The two overhead covers for the pistol shooting points will be finished this spring and we are looking at putting up one for the rifle shooting benches as well as rebuilding the benches.

The Path of Honor fundraiser is still active and we do have several blocks on hand that were ordered. Blocks may be purchased by anyone wanting to honor someone for their service to the Sportsmen’s Club or Country; an example would be a brick honoring the first woman club president or one honoring someone’s rank or branch of service. The fundraiser is being run by Tony Weilandt and you may request more information or an order form from him at (507) 450-5730. You may also order online at http://thatsmybrick.com/lscmn

After successfully running the club’s 3 sporting clays events since 2009 Sean Sannes and Trevor Rislow have decided to take a break. If you get a chance thank them both for their hard work, with that being said the club is in need for more volunteers to help out to keep things going. Please look at the schedule and your personal calendars and see if you can volunteer for any of the upcoming scheduled events. You can contact me at chuckperry1@charter.net or (507)689-4563 for more info or to volunteer.
