Sponsoring Conservation of our Natural Resources

I’d like to welcome everyone old and new to The Lewiston Sportsmen’s Club. We have an exciting 2019 year planned and hopefully you can join us by volunteering or participating in the upcoming events. The Club will be holding three Sporting Clays, three 3-D Archery Shoots, two internet Firearms Safety Classes, one traditional week-long Firearms Safety Class, Wednesday night open Trap Shooting, Kids in the Outdoors, and hosting the Lewiston High School Trap Team.

The Path of Honor fundraiser is still active and we do have several blocks on hand that were ordered. Blocks may be purchased by anyone wanting to honor someone for their service to the Sportsmen’s Club or Country; an example would be a brick honoring the first woman club president or one honoring someone’s rank or branch of service. The fundraiser is being run by Tony Weilandt and you may request more information or an order form from him at (507) 450-5730. You may also order online at http://thatsmybrick.com/lscmn

Take a look at the schedule, maybe you can find one or two of the events that you could volunteer to help out with. Please call me for more information or to volunteer. We have a cleanup date set for May 11, 2019. I hope to see a large group to help get the club grounds cleaned up and presentable for the busy year ahead.

Enclosed is a membership card for 2019. The cost is $40.00 for a annual membership which includes a couple and their children age 18 and under as of January 1, 2019. Memberships run from January 1st to December 31st. Membership includes the use of all ranges, park grounds, and a nice camping area. Please fill out the membership card and mail back. I know what you are thinking, what happened to the single membership. We have gone to a single membership fee of 40.00 so this includes Family as well. We have many new projects coming up this year. Starting with finishing the club house, purchasing a new trap thrower, and fixing the shooting range with new overhead shelters, pea gravel and improving the back stops. We are very excited about these new projects!

We would like to have a fall banquet in our new clubhouse. Any ideas or discussions you would like to have pertaining to this please don’t hesitate to call or email me. I’d like to have a follow up letter out later this year concerning this matter.

Memberships are available at Stockton Valley Saloon, Mainstream (Winona), and Lewiston Hardware Store.
